Representing 1.5 million professional members, the National Association of Realtors (NAR) prides itself on being America’s biggest trade organization. NAR provides various courses and certifications to its members, including its Code of Ethics training.

The purpose of the Code of Ethics training is to teach Realtors professional conduct, business etiquette, courtesy, and real-life scenarios. The training typically lasts over two hours for each course. Before participating, members of NAR must meet certain requirements, including completing a training conducted by a local or state association of realtors or completing an NAR online course. The training is required of members every two years.

Members of NAR may also qualify to receive the Code of Ethics training if they go through one of the association’s identified equivalency options. These options are recognized and communicated through NAR channels on a continuous basis.
